Happy Halloween
Jill | Holidays,Jill Means | Tuesday October 26 2010Just wishing everyone a Happy Halloween! We didn’t go trick-or-treating this year, but we dressed up for a Halloween Party. Natalie was the only one I bought a costume for (butterfly/fairy from Old Navy) The girls made theirs with duct tape, paint and wire. Ryan recycled a Peter Pan costume to become Robin Hood. Connor was Indiana Jones using items from around the house. I made a whip by braiding strips of fleece and stuffing it in a rubber bicycle grip. I can’t believe we only spent $20 this year!
I love our traditions of making caramel corn, homemade rootbeer with dry ice, and Scott makes pumpkin soup. His soup recipe this year was the best! He served it with a relish made with apples, dried cranberries and cinnamon, alongside crusty bread – yummy!
