The Family Proclamation Photo Book

Family Proclamation Pages

Pages from the Family Proclamation template

NOTE: NOVEMBER 2011 will be the last month I will offer the Photoshop versions of this book. Basically, I am losing money every month on the download subscription, and I need to discontinue the service. And I also became aware that there could be some copyright issues, which I was surprised because this book was featured in the Deseret News.

This photo book uses the entire text from The Family – A Proclamation to the World to accompany your photos! Looks great with color or black and white photos. The photo book can be created a couple different ways. The Family Proclamation is part of the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

If you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, purchase the template here – please be aware that I cannot help you with your book, so be familiar with Photoshop or PSE BEFORE purchasing this file.

The PNG version is $1, pages are png files with transparent windows to place your photos behind.

The PSD version is $9.99, pages are layered psd files which give you the flexibility to change the template by adding, deleting or moving photo boxes to fit your needs. You can also remove the text and use the template for other photo books.

You can print with any company that offers square format books. Note: this book has about 10 more pages than the typical photo book, so you will have some extra page charges. Printing ranges from $35-49 for an 8×8″ book.

If you do not have Photoshop or PSE, you can publish the book through Heritage Makers.

The book was inspired by the idea of my good friends, Ann Kerr & Alison Woods. They created a beautiful book using photography of their family paired with the text from the Family Proclamation. Every time someone saw their book, they wanted to make one too. But their elaborate photoshop designs made it impossible to recreate without a lot of Photoshop knowledge and skill. I decided to create a template that would be easier for people to use and provide a cohesive look to the project. Ann’s idea was also featured in the September 2009 Ensign and in September 2010 issue of Mormon Times.
